For ten years we have showcased some of the finest classically-trained singers in the country. At their heart of our mission is the belief that emerging artists need quality - and crucially, paid - professional performance opportunities to develop their careers. Through our programme of recitals, operas, masterclasses and the HCO Singer of the Year competition we give these young singers a platform and exposure to guidance from people at the top of their industry.  HCO also provides affordable opportunities for regional audiences to hear the next generation of opera stars, supported by orchestras and ensembles comprising professional players.

As a registered arts charity that receives no public funding, HCO relies on donations, fundraising and the generous support of our Friends and Patrons.
